(Wabi-Sabi) Karen Shadrin and the Raw Decor Japanese Design Philosophy

קארן שדרין

There is a deep connection between our design approach and the Japanese philosophy known as - Wabi-Sabithe art of finding beauty in the imperfection and transience of things. This philosophy celebrates the natural, the raw, and the signs of time that pass through matter. The concrete and the metal in - Haus No. 7 directly corresponds with these values. We do not try to hide the "flaws" of manual production or the way the material changes; we celebrate them. Karen Shadrin sees in -Wabi-Sabi A way of life that allows us to release the pressure of artificial perfection and embrace beauty. For more inspiration on using materials in the home, read my guide to the art of texture . Real, rough and authentic that stems from the materials themselves and the story they tell inside the home.
